We had 8 Dorothy Canfield Fisher readers who attended the district Battle of the Books at Lamoille Union Middle School on Thursday May 9th. Teams were comprised of the readers of the most books from each of our elementary schools, with one member from each school on each team. Teams took turns answering questions from nine categories and had to name the correct title when asked for setting pairs, authors, quotes, theme pairs, images, or artifacts and more. It was a close competition, with the scores just a couple of points off. Our WES team winner will receive a book of their choice from the 2013-14 DCF list! Congratulations to all of our readers for this wonderful accomplishment and thanks to Mrs. Wootton for joining us as chaperone! More details on the library web page. ~ Mrs. Bryce |
